7-stringed bass viola da gamba with a scale of 705 mm,                            

after a bass viola da gamba by Nicolas Bertrand, Paris, probably circa 1704.

This viola da gamba was entirely handcrafted by J.P. Gheerardyn and bears the signed label "Gheerardyn Jean Pierre - Brugge Anno 2012." A certificate of authenticity is also included.

A very good instrument with a beautiful sound, excellent projection, and balanced strings with a consistent timbre. In short, an excellent instrument!

4/4 violin with label "Gheerardyn Jean Pierre - Brugge Anno 2023" and signature.

The violin was built entirely by hand by luthier J.P. Gheerardyn based on a model by Antonius Stradivarius in 1689. This violin is still considered the standard in terms of size. The violin is made of beautifully flamed European tonewood with a 40-year drying period! The instrument has a warm and round sound, is well balanced in all strings, has plenty of volume, excellent projection of sound , and is very playable.

It is a professional instrument.

A certificate of authenticity is also included, which is important for its future provenance.

This baroque violin was entirely handcrafted by M. Jacobs, based on a baroque violin by Jacobus Stainer dating from 1679. It bears the signature "M. Jacobs - Brugge 2016."              A certificate of authenticity is also included.

A very beautiful and well-sounding instrument, well balanced in all strings and with excellent projection of sound.
