Cello bow 4/4, massaranduba, single eye, round.
Entry-level model. This massaranduba wood is comfortable to hold and is also suitable for very young beginners. Brazilian wood collection: basic collection. Product details: high-quality Brazilian wood bow, round, ebony frog with eye, three-piece button. Metal bright winding. Dörfler's Brazilian bows are a reality. They use an optimally matched trio: massaranduba for the bow, genuine ebony from tropical Africa for the frog, and the finest mother-of-pearl or iris for the eyes.
Because massaranduba is very heavy and hard, these bows are exceptionally comfortable to hold. The dark black, very dense heartwood of the bow gives these bows a distinctly harmonious tone.
SUSTAINABLE COMMITMENT:
This rare tree species has been on the CITES 2* list since June 2007, meaning that exports are covered with much more effort than before. Dörfler is a member of the I.P.C.I. organization, which focuses on the reforestation of this valuable tree species. However, because the trees grow very slowly, it will be some time before they are suitable for making bows.
